True to its annual date, the cultural initiative “Arte en Femenino” returns to Arucas. The programme, which will run from 30 September until 27 November, includes workshops, exhibitions, literary gatherings and other activities. Arucas, 24 September 2026. - The Department for Equality Policies between Women and Men of the Arucas Town Council is launching “Arte en Femenino”, an initiative that places Art, Culture and the role of women as creators and protagonists of different artistic disciplines at the centre. This proposal was created with the aim of making visible and recognising the contribution of women to the world of Culture and Art, offering the public different spaces for meeting and participation around artistic creation. “Arte en Femenino” has the collaboration and support of different departments of the Arucas Town Council, which join this initiative to make possible a diverse programme that is open to the public and that highlights the participation of women in the artistic field. From 30 September to 27 November, the public will be able to enjoy a wide variety of proposals, such as discovering the room dedicated to the multifaceted artist Pino Ojeda at Casa Gourié, the Arucas Municipal Museum, and in the same space getting closer to the work of the artist Elisavet Iordanidou through the exhibition “Geometrías” (09/10/2026 – 07/11/2026), and to the perspective of Gabriela Díaz with her exhibition “Dentro del cambio” (From 06/11/2026 - 27/11/2026). Or they can take part in the gardening workshop “Aromáticas” (15/10/2010), body expression activities, or share a day dedicated to women writers, among other proposals. The Arucas Town Council encourages the public to consult the programme of events and to take part in those activities that are of interest to them.
