#arucascultura Successful response to the 1st Edition of the Micro-story Contest "GAME OVER" *The contest has two categories, adult and youth, and a prize fund of 1,200 euros #Arucas, June 22, 2026. - A total of 222 submitted micro-stories attest to the successful response to this new initiative from the Department of Culture of the Arucas City Council, organized through the Municipal Library. Participants compete for a prize of 600 euros in both the adult and youth categories. The Department of Culture has expressed its satisfaction with the excellent reception of this contest, which is called with the aim of promoting reading and literary creation. The theme around which the texts must revolve is death, a universal and powerful subject that is also versatile in terms of its different interpretations. More than 200 works have arrived from all over Spain and have been written by people of different ages, since the "GAME OVER" contest includes a specific category for the youth population. The awards ceremony will take place on October 24, to coincide with International Library Day.
