🇮🇨 The Fiestas de San Miguel in Temisas are starting! From September 16 to 29, Temisas is filled with tradition, music, and joy to celebrate its festivities in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel. Among the highlights: Friday 18, at 9:00 p.m., opening speech by Nelson Alemán Sánchez; Saturday 19, at 7:00 p.m., Canarian Romería (pilgrimage) and, at 11:00 p.m., open-air dance; Saturday 26, from 9:00 p.m., performance by Laura Lozano Alemán and Noche Parrandera; and Monday 28, the great eve of San Miguel, with performances and open-air dance from 8:30 p.m. onward. On Tuesday 29, the day of San Miguel, the day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the diana floreada (morning reveille with music) and will continue with the livestock fair (10:00 a.m.), the solemn Eucharist (12:00 p.m.), the procession (1:00 p.m.), the community lunch (2:30 p.m.), and the Verbena del Solajero (3:00 p.m.).
