🎷🎺 Santa Brígida is getting ready to celebrate the 6th edition of the Atalaya Blues Festival next September 26 with five acts linked to blues and its different branches. For the first time, the festival will move to the Municipal Park of the town, in the urban center. Admission is free. The concerts will start at 14:00 and will run until 22:30, although the musical activity will kick off at 13:00 with Rhythm’n’Blues and two food and drink proposals: Imaginario Drinks&Music, by Andrés Barbero, and La Carboneta, by Danilo González, a food truck specialized in grilled meats. 🎶 Line-up It will open at 14:00 with Taio Boumort, a Catalan musician whose proposal delves into the territories of North American folk. His repertoire combines original songs with a format in which the guitar and voice take center stage. At 15:30, concert by The Blue Moon Cats, a duo formed by Italian musician Claudio Klaus and Tenerife-born Héctor Quintero. Their repertoire revisits music classics from the 1950s and combines them with their own compositions, within a proposal marked by the sounds of that era. At 17:30 The Cavaliers will take the stage, a Gran Canaria band made up of guitar, piano, sax and drums, bringing their Jump Blues and Rhythm’n’Blues sound to the festival. At 19:30, Jonás Molina Band will perform as a trio. The Madrid-born singer and guitarist, one of the most outstanding of recent years on the national and European scene, will be accompanied by his main band from Granada, with whom he recorded his latest album: Pool & Darts (2025). Their proposal covers different strands of blues, from Jump Blues and West Coast Blues to Swing and Boogie Woogie. Closing the festival at 21:30 will be Sweet Marta & Johnny BigStone, two artists with an extensive international career. Marta on harmonica and Johnny on guitar will review the different sounds of Chicago and Texas electric blues. They will perform as an electric quartet, accompanied by Canarian musicians Reinaldo Rivero on bass and Alberto Gulias on drums.
