NEO TOKIO — Komité Pop Up

Details

NEO TOKIO — Komité Pop Up Next October 9, Komité returns with a new experience inspired by Tokyo’s electric nights. Neon lights, alleyways, smoke and flavors that travel between street food stalls, small izakayas and the most contemporary side of Japan. At 7:00 p.m., Luis Ortiz, Komité’s chef, will offer a free nikuman masterclass, the irresistible steamed bao we find on the streets and in Tokyo’s konbini. We will discover how to prepare its fluffy dough, a Japanese-inspired filling and its characteristic folding before steaming it. At 8:00 p.m., we switch on the neon lights and open our street stall with a selection of dishes inspired by Tokyo and by some of the flavors that made the biggest impression on us during our latest trip to Japan. The soundtrack for this evening will be in the hands of Dani Miranda, a member of the Discolate collective and a musical selector with a very special sensitivity. A selection created to accompany us from the first lights of the afternoon until we dive into the most nocturnal, magnetic and futuristic side of Tokyo. Japanese gastronomy, electronic music and a night under the neon lights of NEO TOKIO.
