3rd "Life and Cancer" Conference in Arucas

Arucas hosts the 3rd "Life and Cancer" Conference Next Monday, October 19, from 6:00 p.m. onwards, the Municipal Culture Center of Arucas will host the 3rd “Life and Cancer” Conference, coinciding with the commemoration of World Breast Cancer Day. The conference will address different aspects related to oncological disease, from psychological care and patients’ social rights to research and new treatments, cancer in adolescents and young adults, and the importance of companionship and volunteering. The program will feature the participation of professionals from the Spanish Association Against Cancer, the Canary Islands Lung Cancer Foundation, the Canary Islands Alejandro Da Silva Foundation, and Proyecto Carmen, in addition to patient testimonies. Among the topics to be covered are anxiety in oncological disease, the social resources available, advances in research, good practices, and the experience of those who live directly with cancer.
