✨ Today San Mateo is dressed in tradition, emotion and gratitude. ✨ Today we celebrate one of the most special moments of our festivities: the Pilgrimage-Offering in Honor of Saint Matthew the Apostle. An afternoon to meet, share, sing, dance and, above all, give thanks, keeping our traditions and the pride of our town alive. We want to express our most sincere gratitude to all the people, neighborhood associations and groups that make this great Pilgrimage-Offering possible. Thank you for your involvement, your effort and your affection so that this celebration continues to be one of the most beautiful and heartfelt in San Mateo. We also want to thank all the people who are working and who will work during these two days so that each event can go ahead and we can enjoy festivities that live up to our town. Behind every detail there are many people dedicating time, enthusiasm and effort. Thank you. From 6:30 p.m. we will be waiting for you at the Church of San Mateo, where we will welcome the Herreño Dancers together with representatives of the different neighborhood associations. From there we will set off in procession to the Town Hall cart to begin this very special afternoon. 💚 We invite you to join us this afternoon, from 7:00 p.m. onwards, at our great Pilgrimage-Offering in Honor of Saint Matthew the Apostle. Let us experience together an afternoon of music, dance, togetherness and respect for our traditions, filling the streets with joy and pride in our roots. And tomorrow we will experience our big day, the feast in honor of our patron Saint Matthew the Apostle. The day will begin with the Livestock Fair, continue with the Solemn Eucharist, the procession and the traditional livestock parade. And to put the finishing touch to this great day of celebration, in the afternoon we will enjoy a performance by Kike Pérez. Long live San Mateo!
