Closing Concert of Voices and Organ
Details
Remember! 🏛️ Preserving a legacy, sharing its history The Basilica of Our Lady of El Pino celebrates 50 years as an Asset of Cultural Interest, and we are celebrating it with a seminar open to the public, held in the church itself, with the collaboration of the Diocese of the Canary Islands, the parish of Our Lady of El Pino and the Teror Town Council. How is an altarpiece restored? What care does a sculpture, a stained-glass window or a silver piece require? How does the conservation of the building influence the objects it safeguards? For three days we will be able to learn, guided by conservation, restoration and research professionals, about the work carried out to preserve this ensemble, so closely linked to the art, devotion and identity of Gran Canaria. 💬 Lectures and discussions to discover the interventions, share experiences and ask questions. 🎶 A concert of voices and organ will bring the meeting to a close at its closing session on Friday at 7:30 p.m. 📅 21, 22 and 23 October 2026 🕖 From 7:00 p.m. 📍 Inside the Basilica of Our Lady of El Pino, Villa de Teror. 🎟️ Free admission, no prior registration needed, until full capacity is reached. 🤟 Spanish Sign Language (LSE) interpreting service. More information available on our website: patrimoniohistorico.grancanaria.com Come to the town and enjoy an opportunity to get a close look at the artworks and the work that makes their conservation possible. We look forward to seeing you!
