This Christmas, The New Orleans Gospel Choir arrives at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus with its new show Streets Of New Orleans. The production offers a sonic journey through the cradle of jazz and the home of gospel, paying tribute to a city immortalized by legends such as Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino and Mahalia Jackson. This Christmas of 2026, the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus welcomes The New Orleans Gospel Choir with their show Streets Of New Orleans, a proposal that explores the incredibly rich musical heritage of one of the most emblematic cities on the planet. Focused mainly on the emotion and faith of gospel, the show incorporates a renewed section with great classics from the city and the vibrant Second Line rhythms characteristic of the traditional Brass Bands that embody the pure essence of New Orleans street art. The repertoire also pays a striking tribute to Mardi Gras, one of the most crowded and fascinating carnivals in the world; a celebration of the vitality of a city where music is breathed on every corner. Festive spirit, cradle of jazz and home of gospel: a fascinating place where legendary streets like Bourbon, Basin or Perdido evoke great legends of popular music such as Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino and Mahalia Jackson. Streets Of New Orleans invites the audience on an imaginary journey to the banks of the Mississippi. An itinerary where the depth of gospel, the origins of jazz and the dazzling display of Mardi Gras’ purple, gold and green tones converge, the colors that represent the soul and the flag of New Orleans.
