Folklore keeps alive the memory and customs of the Canary Islands at the 4th Los Labradores de Valleseco Festival The event will feature the participation of the group Los Medianeros de Gran Canaria and will be held this Sunday, August 16, at 12:00 p.m. The neighborhood of Lanzarote, in Valleseco, will host this Sunday, August 16, from 12:00 p.m., in the neighborhood square, the 4th Los Labradores de Valleseco Folklore Festival, one of the main events in the festivities in honor of Santa Rosa de Lima. For the fourth consecutive year, the host group, Los Labradores de Valleseco, is promoting this gathering dedicated to the music and popular traditions of the Canary Islands, with the aim of contributing to the preservation and dissemination of the cultural heritage of the Archipelago and keeping folklore alive as one of the main hallmarks of identity of the islands. In this edition, Los Labradores will share the stage with Los Medianeros de Gran Canaria, a group with a long history linked to the protection and promotion of traditional Canarian music. The event will allow the public to enjoy a repertoire representative of the different musical and folkloric expressions of the Archipelago, on a day designed to highlight the roots and popular culture of the Canary Islands. The 4th Los Labradores de Valleseco Folklore Festival is thus presented as a new opportunity to bring folklore closer to local residents and visitors and to celebrate, from the neighborhood of Lanzarote, the richness of traditional Canarian culture. The event is supported by the Lanzarote Neighborhood Collective, the Valleseco Town Council, the Gran Canaria Folklore Federation and the Island Council (Cabildo) of Gran Canaria, as well as Canarias Crea.
