Experience the Fiestas de Santiago from the inside and learn how to create one of its most iconic symbols: the “caballitos de fuego” (fire horses). The Department for Addiction Prevention of the Gáldar Town Council, through the Street Educators Programme, is launching a new edition of the fire horse making workshops, an opportunity to learn, share, and keep alive one of the most unique and beloved traditions of our festivities. An activity aimed at young people and adults that combines creativity, togetherness, and participation, allowing attendees to create their own fire horse and become part of one of the most emblematic images of the Fiestas Mayores de Santiago. Dates and venues: • Estrella del Norte Senior Club: 30 June and 2 July. • A.V. Quintogal: 7 and 9 July. • Gáldar Casino: 13 and 15 July. All workshops will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Participation is free of charge, and all materials needed for making the fire horses will be provided. Limited places.
