Details

In the 2012 edition of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival, the cycle "The Moderns" was programmed. It was an approach to avant-garde cinematographic art prior to the implementation of sound, conceived by our colleague Francisco Ponce. We now propose to complete that milestone with nine films made between 1929 and 1934, selected by Luis Miranda, the festival director. MURDER! United Kingdom, 1930, 92´ DIRECTOR: Alfred Hitchcock SCREENPLAY: Alma Reville. Play: Clemence Dane, Helen de Guerry Simpson PRODUCTION: John Maxwell CINEMATOGRAPHY: Jack E. Cox (By N) EDITING: Rene Marrison MUSIC: John Reynders CAST: Herbert Marshall, Norah Baring, Phyllis Konstam, Edward Chapman, Miles Mander, Esme Percy, Donald Calthrop. SYNOPSIS: A woman is accused of murder and put on trial. The entire jury believes she is guilty, except for one man who will do everything possible to defend her innocence. In collaboration with the DISA Foundation
